WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Powerful winds caused damage with a storm that hit parts of northwest Kansas Saturday night, June 19. Photos from Thomas County show multiple grain bins collapsed along US-83, near Rexford. There are also reports of a roof stripped from a mobile home and a large oak tree falling onto a van.

The Sheridan County Fire Department shared photos of vehicles that had run into down powerlines on the highway. No one was injured. The fire department’s post on Facebook included a photo of a pickup and trailer that got caught in the down lines. The truck and trailer belonged to a family member of a firefighter with the Stockton Fire Department, the sheriff’s office said. Winds with the powerful storm were reported to be about 80 miles per hour.
