WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Update 9 a.m. - Employees at a business in the 1300 block of McLean arrived at work to see smoke in their building Wednesday morning.

Employees called the fire department around 6:15 a.m. A hazmat unit was brought in to due to a small spill.

The spill and fire were in a self-contained system in the business. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire using dry extinguishers.

No injuries were reported.

An eyewitness at the scene of a hazmat situation in the 1300 block of South McLean said a fire happened earlier in the morning at an area business.

The fire has since been put out, but fire crews are still on scene to make sure it’s safe for workers to go back inside.

McLean is closed between Harry and Lincoln due to the situation.

No injuries were reported.
