WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Update: Wichita police said a teen was injured Wednesday afternoon in an accidental shooting. Police said the male, who is in his late teens, told officers he was cleaning his gun when it went off. The teen was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

One person is in critical condition following a shooting in west Wichita.

Sedgwick County dispatchers confirm the shooting is located in the 1100 block of South Dodge, near McCormick and Seneca.

A 12 News photographer is headed to the scene to gather more information.
