Man charged with murder in Halloween night shooting that killed teen
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A man has been charged with first-degree murder, two counts of criminal discharge of firearm, three counts of aggravated assault and one count of aggravated battery in connection to a teenager’s death on Halloween.
Jermall Campbell, 19 of Wichita, turned himself in to the police on Monday. He’s accused in the deadly shooting of 13-year-old Donald Williams.
Williams was shot and killed during a disturbance at the QuikTrip convenience store located at Central and Oliver on October 31. An arrest warrant was issued for Campbell following the incident where at least 15 shots were fired.
Campbell is being held on a $1 million bond. He’s due back in court on Dec. 9.
In early November, Carrice Profit, another suspect in the case, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and criminal discharge of a firearm in connection to the case. Her bond is set at $350,000.
