Trump marks 100-day milestone as approval rating slips

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - On Tuesday night, President Donald Trump will celebrate 100 days in office with a rally in Michigan.

But a new CBS poll says his approval ratings are going down. The poll said a majority of Americans believe he is too focused on tariffs and not enough on the economy.

Despite this, Trump says the outlook is good for the country.

“The good news is costs are way down. Groceries are way down,” Trump said. It’s all looking good the tariffs are strong.”

Trump is getting higher marks on his other top issue, immigration.

Most Americans say they approve of the Trump administration’s immigration policies. But 81 percent of people, according to the poll, said it’s unacceptable for a U.S. citizen to be deported by mistake.
