I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in reporting, so I headed 10 hours west on I-70 to attend the University of Wyoming, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in journalism and master’s in communications.
A fun fact about me is that I played on the women’s basketball team at Wyoming. Being a full-time Division I student-athlete definitely kept me busy! Outside of class and basketball, I was a media relations intern for the athletic department and worked as a sideline utilities assistant for ESPN. I’ve also interned for two Kansas City talk shows – “Up To Date,” hosted by Steve Kraske on KCUR 89.3, and “The Border Patrol, hosted by Steven St. John and Nate Bukaty on Sports Radio 810 WHB.
In my free time, I love to cook and bake. I’m also a huge KC sports fan and watch more than my fair share of college basketball. I love spending time with my family, so I’m thrilled to be back in the Sunflower State just an hour down the road from them.
I am so excited to be reporting in my home state. Make sure to keep up to date with me on Facebook and Twitter, and please feel free to reach out to me – I can’t wait to get to know you all and share your stories!
