Natalie Davis joined KWCH in January 2018 as the weekday morning anchor and reporter. She enjoys being part of families’ morning routine and getting them ready for the day ahead. She also delivers the midday news report while you’re munching on your lunch!
Natalie comes to KWCH from KCTV5 in Kansas City, where she served as weekend morning anchor and reporter. She began her career in journalism at KSNT in Topeka as anchor and executive producer of the station’s weekday morning newscast.
Some highlights from her career include a 30-minute sit-down interview with Kansas Governor Sam Brownback, investigations into alleged sexual abuse by a former VA physician assistant, and breaking news coverage of a fire that damaged dozens of homes in Overland Park. Natalie has a passion for sharing personal stories and advocating for people in need through her investigative journalism. Natalie is originally from Minnesota but has called Kansas home since 2014. Her husband Alex is a Kansas native and they’re thrilled to be in Wichita! She doesn’t miss the Minnesota winters!
A former Miss Minnesota, Natalie competed at the 2012 Miss America competition and used her position to advocate for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other disabilities. She received numerous community service awards for her dedication to this cause, inspired by her younger brother Trevor. Natalie also won the talent award at Miss Minnesota for her operatic vocal performance.
Natalie’s experience as Miss Minnesota led to a significant change in her career path. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in chemistry from St. Olaf College, Natalie reevaluated her passions and decided to go into broadcast. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Mass Communications from St. Cloud State University and has loved every second of her time in the news industry since!
Outside of work, Natalie is a shameless dog mom who loves spending time with her husband, family, and golden retriever Barrington. She enjoys being physically active at the gym or in the yoga studio and singing any chance she gets. She’s sung the national anthem for the Minnesota Vikings, Sporting KC, and other local teams.
