Jake Dunne

Meteorologist Jake Dunne comes KWCH TV with over two decades of forecasting experience including stops in Iowa, Wyoming, South Carolina, Michigan, and most recently Alabama where he spent 4 years anchoring weather segments during the morning and noon news for WPMI TV, NBC 15.

Dunne's television career began in his home town of Wichita, Kansas at KWCH-TV during which time he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University. And now, almost 20 years later, Jake has earned a Master of Science degree in Applied Meteorology from Mississippi State. Dunne has taught several college-level meteorology classes and aspires to add college professor to résumé.

Not only have Jake's forecasts won awards, but they have also earned the AMS Seal of Approval, an honor he was presented with in 2003. When he's not forecasting, Dunne enjoys working with local charities. Both the MDA and National MS Society have recognized him for his time and dedication to their organizations.

Jake is happily married and enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids when he's not working or studying. Dunne is also an avid runner and is looking forward to logging many miles along local trails. His favorite race is the 5K and Jake welcomes you to contact him if you have a race event that you'd like him to host and/or run in.
