ELLSWORTH COUNTY, Kan. (KWCH) A man was killed and five others were injured in a head-on crash in Ellsworth County Friday night.
The crash happened just after 9 p.m. about 5.7 miles west of K14/K156 junction.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says a driver in a pickup going westbound swerved to avoid hitting a vehicle that was stopped to make a left turn. When the truck swerved, it hit a truck head-on in the eastbound lane.
The driver of the second truck, Justin Nelson, 41, was killed in the crash and five others were hurt between the two trucks.
Nelson was wearing a seatbelt.
