Police identify man shot, killed after early morning disturbance in NE Wichita

Wichita police identified a man killed in a shooting early Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to a disturbance about with shots fired around 3:30 a.m. at a home in the 1200 block of North Pinecrest. They arrived to find a man in front of the residence with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The investigation revealed a disturbance ensued earlier in the day at the home between 53-year-old David Leddy and a 19-year-old man who did not live there. During the disturbance, Leddy’s vehicle was damaged, and the 19-year-old was battered.

The 19-year-old’s mother and three friends, two women and a man, later arrived at the home A disturbance then ensued in front of the house and shots were fired that struck Leddy.

Investigators are currently working to locate additional individuals involved with this incident.
