One person hurt in East Wichita shooting

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) Wichita police say a 43-year-old man is recovering after being shot on his porch early Monday morning.

According to police, the man was sitting on his porch on East Pine when he was shot.

Police don't believe the shooting was random, but no suspect information has been provided.

Four other people, including three teenagers, were in the house at the time. They were not hurt.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact police or Crimestoppers.
Wichita police are looking for the person responsible for an early-morning shooting that left a man hospitalized.

Police were called to the 5200 block of E. Pine, that's near Central and Oliver, at around 12:30 Monday morning.

There, they found one person with a gunshot wound. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police tell us they are investigating, and they have no suspect information.

They do not believe there is any threat to the public.
