BARBER COUNTY, Kan. (KWCH) Two Barber County deputies and an inmate suffered minor injuries in a weather-related car crash Friday afternoon.

The Gyp Hill Premiere reports their vehicle hydroplane and struck a storage tank off Hwy 160 at Pixley Road. That's located east of Medicine Lodge.

The deputies were using a Medicine Lodge patrol vehicle at the time because it's the only car in the county with a cage.

The rainfall is just the beginning of a winter expected to hit most of Kansas on Friday and into Saturday. Barber County could be in for up to two inches of snow.

Storm Team 12 says the most snow will fall along I-70 with four to six inches expected.
