WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) Update - Tuesday, July 10:
The driver of the other vehicle involved in a deadly crash late Sunday has been identified as 29-year-old Bryan P. Langille.
Update Monday, July 9:
The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office identifies one of two people killed in a Sunday night crash near K-15 and 63rd Street south, south of Wichita, as 53-year-old Kelley Lynn Houlton. Houlton was driving a 2011 Chrysler 200 that was hit by a 1993 Honda driven by a 29-year-old man.
The sheriff's office is not releasing the man's name until his family is notified. A 71-year-old woman and a 32-year-old woman were also injured in the crash.
Sedgwick County Sheriff's Lt. Tim Myers says the preliminary investigation indicates the Honda, traveling west on 63rd Street South from Clifton, crossed over the center line, colliding with the eastbound Chrysler.
The sheriff's office says "alcohol was present in the Honda," but the crash remains under investigation.
Sunday, July 8:
Two people are dead after a crash near K-15 and 63rd Street South. It happened Sunday evening at around 8:30 p.m.
Sedgwick County officials say a vehicle was headed east on 63rd STtreet when it veered across the center line, striking another vehicle that was headed west.
Both drivers were killed.
Each vehicle had one passenger, as well. They were hospitalized, one with critical injuries, the other with serious injuries.
