WICHITA, Kan. Four people were injured in a car accident caused by a truck driving the wrong way near Kellogg and Seneca.
Wichita Police Sgt. Robert Richenberger said the accident happened just after 1:15 a.m.
Police saw a pickup driving the wrong way in the eastbound lanes of Kellogg near Washington. They began following the pickup, but the driver would not pullover.
A car driving east on Kellogg struck another car when it tried to avoid striking the pickup driving in the wrong direction.
The truck kept going.
Four people total were injured between those two vehicles. One person is in critical condition.
Police were later able to stop the driver on west Kellogg using spikes. The driver is suspected of driving under the influence.
"We are fortunate nobody was killed," Richenberger said.
