BRANSON, Mo. -- Mourners set up a makeshift memorial at the Ride the Ducks business on the 76 Strip in Branson, Missouri.
Many left flowers on the windshields of cars left in the parking lot at the Ride the Ducks. Ride The Ducks is closed Friday. The company posted a statement on their Facebook page.
It says in part, "We are deeply saddened by the tragic accident that occurred at Ride The Ducks Branson. This incident has deeply affected all of us. Words cannot convey how profoundly our hearts are breaking."
Those with the company said safety of their guests and employees is their number one priority. They said Ride the Ducks will be closed for business while they support the investigation and to allow time to grieve for the families and the community.
The community of Branson, including visitors, are grieving this tragedy right now. Guain Holloman and his fiance' traveled to Branson from Tennessee. They too are devastated and wanted to do something to show their love to those affected.
"We are sending our condolences and our prayers in our sympathy out to the families and the friends of the victims," said Holloman. "We came to leave flowers and to say a silent prayer for the family members in the whole city of Branson and for everyone that's here on vacation."
Some vigils are being organized in the community Friday evening.
