Bicyclist dies from injuries in accident in Derby
UPDATE Monday (June 6): Derby police confirm the bicyclist died from his injuries Saturday. Police identified the man as 39-year-old Steven J. Lewis. Police say Lewis had been in the Derby area for a few days prior to the accident, but did not have a permanent address.

Derby police say a bicyclist was critically injured during an accident Friday morning.
The accident happened around 10 a.m. in the 9400 block of E. Rock Road.
Derby Police Chief Robert Lee said the bicyclist was in the northbound lanes of Rock Road. He had an attached trailer that was carrying two dogs.
A truck driven by an adult, which was also in the northbound lanes of Rock Road, did not see the bicyclist and struck him.
Lee said the 36-year-old bicycle rider was taken to the hospital with "very critical injuries". The dogs were taken to a local veterinarian.
Lee said he was notified that one of the dogs died and the other is being treated.
The driver of the truck was not hurt.
