Big changes arrive Thursday - freeze warning

By  |

Chief Meteorologist Ross Janssen says that a cold front will be through most of Kansas by Thursday afternoon. Temperatures will be falling and there will be a freeze danger by Friday morning.

Low temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s, but by mid to late morning, the temperatures will be dropping quickly. In fact, by 4 p.m., much of western Kansas will be down in the 30s and 40s. Wichita will be near 60 by 4 p.m.

Some light snow is possible for western Kansas Thursday evening, but accumulations will be little or none.

Friday starts out in the 20s and 30s and it will still be windy. Even thought we will have sunshine Friday afternoon, it will still be very chilly with highs in the mid to upper 40s.
