Chief Meteorologist Ross Janssen says that a break from the almost hurricane force winds is coming, but how long will it last?
Skies will be clear heading into the night with wind speeds dropping below 15 mph for most of the state. Low temperatures will fall into the teens and 20s. Wednesday will be sunny with highs near 50. The wind will still gust to about 20-25 mph in central and eastern Kansas, but should be lighter in the west.
We can expect some nice weather for the remainder of the week with much less wind. Thursday will have highs near 60 with winds under 20 mph. And Friday will have increasing clouds, but winds will be under 15 for most of the area. Mild weather should be around into the weekend.
Next possible chance for some rain will come Saturday evening, but it's not going to be very widespread.
