Meteorologist Mark Larson says we'll see storm-free weather through the weekend and after a brief break from heat and humidity today, summer sizzle and steam will return soon.
Wednesday's front pushed a lot of humidity out of Kansas making Thursday the pick day of the week with drier air, sunshine, highs in the mid 80s to around 90 degrees and light winds.
Look for sunny skies again Friday with afternoon highs creeping back up into the low to mid 90s. Southerly winds Friday should stay under 20 mph and the humidity will be a bit higher but it shouldn't be too sticky.
Our heat relief will be brief because there's more hot summer temps on the way to Kansas this weekend, and into next week, along with steamy sweat-factor numbers back around 100 to 105 once again.
