BUSHTON, Kan. (KWCH) A Kansas police chief finds himself in handcuffs for the second time.
Court records show Bushton Police Chief Brian Treaster is facing a new felony charge for violating a protection order and battery.
The date of offense is June 28, a warrant for his arrest was issued on July 9 and arrest paperwork was filed July 10.
Reno County Sheriff's deputies arrested Treaster in April on accusations of stalking and violating a protective order.
The chief is set to go to trial in that case in mid-September.
Treaster is on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of his cases.
