Caught on Camera: Wichita man confronts shoplifters at Greenwich & Kellogg Walmart

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) A Wichita man hopes video he captured will help identify two women he says were stealing from a local Walmart store.

Paul Zimmerman says he was at the Greenwich and Kellogg location when he saw the women run out of the store with baskets full of items he said they had not paid for.

Zimmerman said the women almost knocked down the door greeter, and then blew past him.

He tried to stop them. When they kept going, he said, that's when he pulled out his cell phone.

Zimmerman's video shows the women quickly loading several items into their van which was parked in disabled parking space and then speeding away before the doors were completely closed.

In the video, you can hear Zimmerman telling the women, "You're going to be famous." But they never respond.

Zimmerman said he told a store manager what he'd witnessed and captured on camera, but they told him he should not have run after the shoplifters, and employees who do are fired.

Zimmerman posted videos and photos on his Facebook page asking people to share it to let the police department know who these people are.

His post has been shared more than 2,000 times.
