Chief Meteorologist Ross Janssen says that changes in the weather will begin Wednesday for parts of Kansas, while the rest of us will see it by Thursday.
Storm chances into early Wednesday will mainly be in the Nebraska. However, a few showers and storms may show up in northeast Kansas to begin the day. Low temperatures will be in the 70s and highs will be a mix of 80s and 90s Wednesday afternoon. Coolest temperatures will be in northern Kansas with more clouds.
Statewide chances for rain and thunder will show up Wednesday evening/night. Storms could produce some heavy rains and gusty winds to 50 mph.
Highs will be a mix of 70s and 80s on Thursday with mostly cloudy skies. Rain chances will end for much of the afternoon, but some scattered storms will be back Thursday night.
Much of the rain will be gone in time for the upcoming weekend.
