Cloudy skies across the majority of central and eastern Kansas today with more sunshine expected across the west. Highs in the 30s and 40s statewide. A winter weather advisory is in effect for parts of NE-Kansas until 10 A.M. for a light wintry mix and slick roads north of Emporia to Kansas City.
Cloudy tonight with drizzle and freezing drizzle developing after midnight. Overnight lows in the 20s and 30s with temperatures above freezing for south-central Kansas. Freezing drizzle may cause some slick roads early Monday morning along I-70 and parts of northern Kansas.
Cloudy, drizzly Monday with highs ranging from the upper 30s in the northwest to the low 50s in southern Kansas. A few showers are possible as a cold front passes through during the late afternoon/evening. Gusty northwest winds on the back side of this weather system with gusts as high as 40-45 m.p.h. possible in NW-Kansas. Settling down and warming up through the middle of the week, with another "strong" cold front expected to move through Kansas on Valentine's Day. Turning much colder Friday into next weekend.
