Chief Meteorologist Ross Janssen says that mostly cloudy skies will be common in Kansas skies, but nearly all of the rain will pass southeast of our area today. Temperatures will once again remain below normal.
Highs are expected to climb into the mid and upper 50s with northeast winds of 10-20 mph. Showers will clip southeast Kansas late in the afternoon.
Look for the skies to clear into the night with lows falling back into the upper 20s and 30s. The winds will die down throughout the night.
Sunday will have brighter skies and warmer weather moving back in. Highs will climb into the 60s and could be near 70 across western Kansas. The wind will be a bit gusty for western Kansas late in the day.
Another storm system will be moving into the Plains around the middle of next week. It will bring chances for showers and storms back to the area by Wednesday afternoon.
