Meteorologist Jake Dunne says Tuesday won’t be as hot or humid as Monday. High temperatures in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees actually place us a few degrees below normal.
Showers and storms will exit the state during the course of the morning leaving us with clearing skies and refreshing north breeze today. Most of the day will be quiet across the state, but storms are possible in northwest Kansas this evening and tonight. Some of the storms will be severe producing damaging wind and large hail.
The remainder of the work week looks uneventful as high pressure moves into the area. Mild nights will turn into mainly sunny and hot days, though temperatures will be close to normal for middle August. Overnight storms cannot be ruled out, but most areas will remain through the remainder of the week.
