Meteorologist Mark Larson says cooler than average temps will stick around through midweek followed by a return to more typical June-like highs by week's end.
Look for sunny to mostly sunny skies Monday with afternoon highs in the mid 70s to near 80 statewide and wind speeds under 15 mph.
Southerly winds will blow back into our area Tuesday ahead of a cold front that will march through central and eastern Kansas later in the day. The front will spark scattered showers and storms for some as it moves through our region. Widespread severe weather's not expected with the front and rain or storms should end Tuesday night.
We'll see a mix of sun and clouds Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the 70s.
More showers/storms are possible Thursday night and Friday and high temps will rise back up into the low to mid 80s by week's end and into our weekend.
