Concerns over flooding has forced Country Stampede officials to move the annual music festival to Topeka this year.

Organizers announced Friday morning that the three-day festival will be moving to Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka.

Country Stampede President Wayne Rouse blamed recent severe flooding and uncertainty of the safety of the event grounds as reason for the change of locations.

Country Stampede's original location, Tuttle Creek State Park is closed for an unknown amount of time.

The event is scheduled for June 20, 21 and 22.
