Chief Meteorologist Ross Janssen says that the heat will get turned up on much of Kansas for the rest of the week. This will likely be the hottest week we've had so far this summer and maybe will see for the rest of the summer.
A few clouds will pass through during the rest of the night. Lows will drop back to the 60s and 70s with light winds. Highs will reach the mid and upper 90s with sunny skies. Winds will be out of the south at around 10-15 mph.
Expect more wind and heat for the rest of the week. Hottest temperatures will likely setup for Wednesday and Thursday. Late in the week, the heat should back down for some of the area. Next highest rain chances will get to Kansas until the end of the weekend.
