Default judgment entered against Wichita car dealership

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) A $140,876.75 default judgment was entered against the owner of a now-closed Wichita car dealership.

The lawsuit, brought by the District Attorney against Quality Used Cars, LLC (2759 S. Broadway) and its owner, Angelo Jefferson Anderson, alleged deceptive and unconscionable acts and
practices involving car sales to ten customers.

The complaint claims Quality failed to provide titles to customers and honor warranties. The judgment against Jefferson requires that he pay $120,000 in civil penalties, $20,679.75 in restitution, and
costs and fees.

The District Attorney reminds residents that customers should also receive certificate of title within 60 days of any vehicle purchase. Otherwise, the transaction is void and
customers are entitled to a full refund.
