WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) Strangers and neighbors are pouring out support to the children and family of a woman shot and killed by her estranged husband in an act of domestic violence.
(Family of Kristin Florio)
Kristin Florio-Gile died two weeks ago, leaving her six children, in ages from three to 12, behind. Her family says they're not ready to tell her story yet, but they want to thank everyone in the community for their support and generous donations.
Kristin's sister, Jessica Florio-King, says the generosity and blessings from others in the community are something they can never repay.
On Friday, the Wichita-area Eddy's dealerships donated a brand new minivan to Kristin's parents. Toys and brand new electronics were also donated.
Bradon Steven, the dealership's owner, respectfully declined to comment for this story.
Jessica says it's donations like the minivan and playset the family received that gives Kristin's kids hope the world is still beautiful.

"I've watched my parents and my sister's six innocent beautiful children crying--in the most unbelievable pain you can imagine--off and on for two weeks now. But to see them cry because of the amazing generosity of this world versus the evil they thought was left... That is a "thank you" I could never repay. You gave them all that. You gave them hope that this world is still a beautiful place. You gave them faith that good will always win. You gave them their smile back. So thank you for each donation, each meal, each dollar, each warm hug, and each kind-hearted message. A special thank you to Bradon Steven and Eddy's Toyota for donating a van big enough to hold all eight and to everyone involved in building my neice's and nephew's playground. Speaking on behalf of the entire Florio family... We cannot thank you enough.
A Gofundme was also started to assist the family.
