The latest campaign ad produced by Congressman Tim Huelskamp calls into question his opponent’s stance on abortion.

Commercial claim #1:
“Dr. Roger Marshall says he's pro-life, but supports pro-abortion groups that back Planned Parenthood and Hillary Clinton.”

The ad refers to Marshall’s membership with the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and his support for the group's PAC. Marshall is an OB-GYN.

Marshall has been vocal about his own abortion stance and says he is pro-life.

Commercial claim #2:
"And Marshall will raise your taxes.”

The claim that he will raise taxes refers only to the statement that he supports sales tax on Internet sales.

The ad plays a clip of Marshall from a forum where he said he thinks there needs to be “some kind of tax on Internet sales.”

Marshall tells FactFinder 12 he supports the Marketplace Fairness Act and feels the current system is "rigged" to favor Silicon Valley companies over Kansas businesses.
