Family members of a missing Kansas man are asking for your help in locating him.

Father Marvin Reif, a priest with the Dodge City Diocese, went missing Monday afternoon in Protection.

Reif, whose family said he suffers from mental health issues, left the Valley Manor nursing home where he lived, for a walk Monday afternoon. He never returned.

Reif's sister, Karen Winkelman, said the family has been searching for him ever since.

"Marvin has always enjoyed some quiet time and alone time so I thought it was just a very short time frame but now here we are on day three and it's becoming more of a worry," said Winkelman.

Family members have been putting up posters with Reif's picture on it all around Protection and in nearby towns in hopes that somebody will recognize him and call 911.

"We've been driving between here and Ashland looking in the ditches and the fields. We've searched the church just anywhere we think he could possibly be," said Winkelman.

Reif's brother, Duane said sheriff departments from multiple counties are also assisting in the search and said they're hopeful he'll be found soon.

"Say a prayer if you can't look for him. We could always use prayers that's the main thing. Just hope for the best and just keep looking," said Duane.

Reif was last seen wearing a blue polo with jeans and it's believed he may be in the Barton County area. His family asks for people everywhere to keep an eye out for him.
