Nobody hurt in northeast Wichita house fire
Nobody was hurt in a house fire Saturday afternoon in northeast Wichita.
Firefighters were called to a home in the 2700 block of north Rushwood Ct around 3 p.m. for a report of a fire.
Fire officials say the fire started outside the home and moved inside. The homeowner was not at home when the fire started.
"Crews were getting a handle on the fire, they aggressively searched it and provided ventilation to release gases. Made it easier for the search," Chief Matt Bownen said.
He says the fire was under control in less than ten minutes.
The fire is still under investigation.
