Chief Meteorologist Ross Janssen says that some heavy rain is expected for parts of central and south central Kansas heading into the early morning hours on Thursday. A flash flood watch has been posted for areas east of I-135.
Temperatures will be in the 60s to start the day Thursday. Afternoon highs will be a mix of 70s and 80s with mostly cloudy skies. Another round of scattered rain and thunder is expected heading into Thursday evening.
Friday will still have a lot of clouds in Kansas skies, but most of the rain will be in Oklahoma. Late Friday night and early Saturday, some showers and storms will return to the area. Heavy rain is not likely, but the weekend could start out a bit damp for some areas.
