A police report from January confirms another violent incident involving former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt. This is the third incident involving an investigation to surface over the past week.
The three reports in order of their release are from February, June and January, 2018.
The Chiefs released Hunt last week after video surfaced of a February incident in which he's accused of shoving and kicking a woman at a Cleveland hotel.
CBS Sports reported Sunday the NFL is also investigation an allegation that in June, Hunt punched a man in the face while visiting an Ohio resort.
Several outlets including Kansas City CBS affiliate KCTV-5 confirm from a police report that Hunt is also accused of attacking a man in January at Mosaic Ultra Lounge in Kansas City's Power and Light District.
KCTV-5 reports a man told police he was inside the nightclub about 2 a.m. Jan. 7 and was approaching the restrooms when he saw a friend being shoved by three people, one of whom he identified as now former Chiefs player George Atkinson.
Atkinson was never arrested or charged, police say. The man reporting the attack said he confronted Atkinson who punched him in the shoulder. He said he then struck Atkinson in the face with a closed fist followed by a group hitting him multiple times, the majority of which were kicks. The man identified one of these suspects as Hunt, KCTV-5 reports from police.
The man injured in the attack was treated at an area hospital for a broken rib, a broken nose and multiple bruises and contusions, KCTV-5 reports. Police reports say the man initially did not want to report the incident, but his father and other relatives convinced him to tell police what happened.
