WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH/AP) Wichita police arrested former Cowboys running back and Wichita native Joseph Randle on suspicion of rape Friday morning.
Police were called to an apartment complex in the area of K-96 and Rock Road around 1 a.m.
Officers arrived and made contact with a 28-year-old woman who had minor facial injuries and reported being sexually assaulted.
Police investigated then arrested Randle. He's currently being held in the Sedgwick County Jail the arresting rape charge and a probation violation.
Randle was released on probation in June under a plea deal that allows prosecutors to seek to have him put in prison if he gets into trouble again. He spent most of the past two years in jail, with occasional stints in a state mental hospital, on an array of charges.
Several of them were related to Randle hitting three people with a car after an argument at a house party.
