A former Wichita mail carrier has been charged for not delivering mail.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says Ashley N. Wilson, 27, Wichita, Kan., is charged with deliberately failing to deliver mail that was in her custody while she worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.

The crime is alleged to have occurred during March through May 2018, in Sedgwick County.

If convicted, she faces up to five years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000.
