Goddard voters approve $52-million bond issue

UPDATE: Goddard voters approved the $52-million bond issue to pay for safety measures, including storm shelters and secure entrances, among other things.

The bond issue passed by a vote of 1,766 in favor to 780 opposed.

Voters in Goddard head to the polls today to decide whether they want to spend more than $50-million on security and other improvements for Goddard Schools.

The $52-million bond would pay for storm shelters and secure entrances, among other things.

If approved, the bond would cost the owner of a $100,000 home an additional $1.82 per month in property taxes.
