The Broadway musical Hamilton will come to Wichita in a couple of years.

made the announcement on Tuesday as a part of its BROADWAY IN WICHITA series.

The guild says musical-goers can join the 2020-21 season to receive first access to tickets for HAMILTON and its premiere in the 2021-22 Season!

Dancers at Midwest Dance Mechanix welcomed the news.

Gage Gardiner says HAMILTON made him fall in love with musical theater.

"I never thought of doing music theater 'til I saw HAMILTON and I fell in love with the whole idea. If I can act on a stage and be someone else and sing and dance, it's cool and it's fun," said Gardiner.

But even dancers will tell you, you don't have to love the arts to enjoy the musical.

"I think its a great experience for anyone not just kids in dance its really a fantastic show," said Midwest Dance Mechanix owner, Jana Owen.

Asaira Usher agrees.

"I'm gonna buy one for me one for my boyfriend my friends were going to make it a group thing," she said.

The guild says HAMILTON will take the stage at Century II's Concert Hall.

HAMILTON is the story of America's Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, HAMILTON is the story of America then, as told by America now.
