WICHITA, Kan. Adalynn Van Horn, a fourth-grade student in the Halstead school district stepped up in a big way for a good cause.
Van Horn was asked to do a project for school about something she's passionate about. She decided her passion is to make sure all kids have books to read.
With that, she organized a book drive for the Wichita Children's Home. In a matter of weeks, she collected more than 1,000 books to donate. She dropped them off at the children's home Friday (Dec. 21).
