WICHITA, Kan. It's not dangerous, but administrators at a Wichita middle school step in because a popular treat many students call "Happy Crack" was causing a disruption and a mess when spilled.
In a letter to parents, Truesdell Middle School says it's seen more of a powder candy being brought to school in plastic bags. The candy comes in the form of Kool Aid mixed with sugar or crushed Smarties.
Please make certain your student is not bringing this to school," Truesdell says in its letter to parents. "There have been several instances where it has caused a disruption to our school day. If a student is caught with the powder candy, there will be administrative consequences."
