Former Haysville teacher pleads guilty to sex crime
The Sedgwick County District Attorney's Office says a former P.E. teacher at Campus High School in Haysville pleaded guilty Monday to one felony count of attempted unlawful sexual relations.
Jail records from Sedgwick County showed officers booked Shari Herrs in to the county jail in late May. She was accused of having unlawful sexual relations with a student.
After her arrest, a representative for Haysville Public Schools says Herrs was on administrative leave and that there was an ongoing investigation by the Haysville Police Department.
Sentencing for Herrs is set for Nov. 13.

Eyewitness News reached out to Haysville Public Schools. A representative stated that Herrs is on administrative leave and that there is an on-going investigation by the Haysville Police Department.
Campus High School's website lists Herrs as a physical education teacher and a track coach.
