Heavy rains a threat this weekend

By  |

Chief Meteorologist Ross Janssen says that showers and storms will move into western Kansas into the night. Some strong wind gusts are possible from time to time and heavy rains will accompany the storms. Some areas could receive over 2 inches.

Low temperatures by Saturday morning will be in the 60s with some showers reaching central Kansas. Afternoon temperatures will be in the 70s and low 80s. More rain will develop into Saturday night, and some of the rain will be heavy once again.

Sunday looks to have some rain in the morning, but the afternoon dries out. Temperatures will still be in the lower 80s. We can expect more 80s on the way next week and it looks mainly dry.
