WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) Honeywell Aerospace is leaving Wichita by the end of the year.
The company announced Friday that it was centralizing its repair and overhaul operations to Olathe. Jobs from Seattle are also being moved to Johnson County.
"This is not a decision we made lightly as we realize this, unfortunately, affects valued employees," said the company in a release.
Honeywell said it provided employees with extensive notice about the move. The company said it's encouraging Wichita employees to apply for open positions in Olathe, some of which include potential relocation assistance.
The company said it will offer severance and outplacement assistance to employees who are eligible.
