Family and friends will say their final goodbyes to Gabe Marshall Saturday morning.

The nine-year-old's long battle with cancer ended Feb. 2.

Gabe's celebration of life will begin at 10 a.m. at Park Place Christian Church in Hutchinson.

The Hutchinson community plans to raise money for 9-year-old Gabe Marshall who passed away last week following a long battle with cancer.

If you are interested in attending, the fundraiser is from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at The Applewood Restaurant in Hutchinson.

Organizers say 20 percent of all proceeds will go to help the Marshall family cover Gabe's funeral.

Gabe Marshall, the Hutchinson boy who bravely battled brain cancer, died early Friday morning.

In a Facebook post on Friday, Gabe's father Josh said Gabriel had gained his wings at 12:03 a.m.

Friday night, Gabe's family says on its public support page that Gabe's funeral is set for 10 a.m. Feb. 10 at Hutchinson's Park Place Christian Church.

You may remember 9-year-old Gabe's story after a surgery left the side of Gabe's head scarred, his father went to

artist to get a scar tattoo to match his sons.

"I didn't like him calling himself a monster because to me he's beautiful," said Josh Marshall.

The photo went viral on social media with requests to hear their story.

Six months later, the

would return and take his life.

"He is my superhero. He has shown me what life really is about and how to cherish the most out of everything."
