Police search 2 KCK homes for deadly bar-shooting suspect

Police in Kansas City, Kan. continue their search for deadly bar-shooting suspect Hugo Villanueva Morales. Tuesday afternoon, police searched two Kansas City, Kan. homes, but did not identify the second of two men accused in the early-Sunday-morning shooting that killed four and injured five.

Kansas City ABC station KMBC now reports Kansas City, Kan police check a second house for the second suspect in Sunday's shooting at a bar that killed four and injured five others.

KCTV-5 reporter Leslie Aguilar says a SWAT team and K-9s entered a Kansas City, Kan. home in the search for a second suspect in the early-Sunday-morning bar shooting that killed four and injured five others, but did not find the man inside.

The search for Hugo Villanueva Morales continues. KCTV reports police are clearing the area.


Kansas City, Kan. police surround a KCK home in connection with an early-Sunday-morning shooting at a local bar that left four dead and five injured.

Police tell Kansas City CBS station, KCTV , they received a tip that the second suspect in the weekend shooting, Hugo Villanueva Morales, is inside the home.

“At this point, we don’t have confirmation that our second suspect is near,” Jonathon Westbrook with KCK police tells Kansas City ABC station, KMBC . "But we have information that leads us to believe that he is at the residence."

Police arrested the other suspect, Javier Alatorre Sunday. Both men are charged with four counts of first-degree murder, police say.
