Woman killed in deadly crash on K-96 in Reno County

RENO COUNTY, Kan. (KWCH) 6:54 p.m.

The Kansas Highway Patrol identifies a woman killed in a Reno County crash as 55-year-old Mary Rosenberger, of Medicine Lodge.

Trooper says Rosenberger struck the back of semi as it slowed down before completing a right-hand turn from K-96 to Halstead Road. She died on the scene.

The driver of the semi was not

One woman is dead following a crash with a semi in Reno County.

The Kansas Highway Patrols says a woman in her 50s was killed Wednesday afternoon when she drove into the back of a semi on K-96 that was turning right onto Halstead Road.

The driver of the semi was not hurt.


The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash Wednesday in Reno County.

Trooper Chad said the two-vehicle crash happened on K-96 westbound at Halstead Rd (MP 252).

Both westbound lanes of K-96 near Yoder Road, between Haven and Hutchinson are closed. Traffic is being diverted through a turn lane by flaggers. Drivers should be alert and use caution approaching the area.
