WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) The Wichita Police Department makes us Kansas Proud for helping a teenager make his goal of becoming a police officer a reality.

Police say during the weekend of Halloween, a mother contacted officers for help with her son Marky's costume.

Marky, who is in a wheelchair, wanted to be a police officer for Halloween. So, his mother asked officers for help decorating the boxes that they made for his “cop car” costume.

Several officers worked together and contacted the City of Wichita Central Maintenance Facility and EgraF-X Inc., who helped with decorating.

Marky, his service dog named Security, and his mother were able to take photos with officers from Patrol East.
