Ashley Hicks teaches kindergarten at Enterprise Elementary School. She says anyone can sign a yearbook, so she wanted to do something more special. She wore a white dress to school and had students sign it with their own unique artwork.

"Each of them is unique in their own way. Throughout the year our class highlights 'teamwork makes dreams work!' The dress symbolizes us, a team, but above all a family. We care about each other’s feelings and lives."

Hicks says spending more than eight hours a day, five days a week, with her students make them feel more like her "own children." She says the dress is a way to carry each of them with her.

"Who knows! I might wear it to their graduations one day!"
