WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) Thursday morning's rain didn't stop a special ceremony at Wichita's Veterans Memorial Park.
People there say, on this independence day, they want to remember the price paid for our freedom.
They say the event is about remembering those who've given their lives for our nation and thanking those who currently serve.
Beverly Klag, who attended the event, says three of her brothers served in Vietnam.
"I know the sacrifices all our veterans make and all our first responders. I really think it's so important for people to come out to these three activities they have a year," Klag said.
Congressman Ron Estes also spoke at the event. You can find a full list of Fourth of July activities here.
